What if I left something in the Airbnb after checking out? 😢

Yes, what if you forget to bring your baby with you and left it in the Airbnb? What can you do? Can you sue? Can you beg all day hoping your baby will be returned? Let's find out!

First and foremost, please double, triple, quadruple check your belongings and DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BELONGINGS IN THE AIRBNB WHEN YOU CHECK OUT!!!!!!! The reason is simple, no one is responsible for your belongings even if you have left it in the Airbnb. Good news for you, White Forest Suites will always try our to return lost and found items to their guests. However, this is not a guarantee because we as hosts are not responsible for your belongings as well. Furthermore, if your belongings are damaged or whatsoever, we are not responsible as well.

Note: lost and found items that are left unattended will be disposed after 14 days.

Ahhh, let me explain why no one is responsible for your belongings..

  1. We do not possess your belongings- which means, we do not know how the conditions are, what the items are, who touched the items and etc before you tell us you left your belongings in our Airbnb. So how are we supposed to be responsible for your personal items?

  2. You could have misplaced it somewhere! -from our perspective, you could have misplaced your belongings somewhere or lost it somewhere during the stay. We cannot be held responsible for you losing your personal items carelessly.

So what do you do if you think you left your personal belongings in our Airbnb:

  1. Call your host immediately - This is to seek help from the host whether they have seen your belongings when they clean the unit after you have check out. However, not all the hosts will do the good samaritan act by keeping your belongings, some host would have took it and make it their own property. Rest assured, White Forest Suites will never do such a thing! unless..... you left it unattended and we had to dispose it after 14 days being found.

  2. Be friendly to the host- Bear in mind, when you lose something, it is part of your carelessness. Hosts are human as well, they know what it feels when the favorite items are missing. So always be friendly when you seek for help from the hosts to look for your belongings.

  3. DO NOT THREATEN!- Some of the bullies out there love to threaten hosts by saying they will call the police over the missing items. Hello, it is your own fault that you did not take care of your personal belongings. Secondly, even if you call the police, police will not "give a shit" because there goes the same thing, you are responsible for your personal belongings. The reason is simple, you might have left your personal belongings deep in the Airbnb, maybe, under the bed. Then, the next guests would have took it but not us. We cannot do anything about that. Or, you might be asking us to look for something that does not exist. Probably, you bought the item in your dream and when you wake up, you say that the "dream thing" is left in the Airbnb, WE WILL NEVER KNOW.

In conclusion, always double check that you have bring all your personal belongings with you before you check out. And if you really left your belongings in the Airbnb, seek help from your host immediately, we will always do our best to help you find your baby. We cannot speak for all the hosts out there but White Forest Suites is a host that cares- "Your Airbnb Companion"💕
